On death and dying

Former Free State, Northern Transvaal and Springbok flanker Ruben Kruger passed away on the evening of Wednesday 27 January after losing his long running battle with brain cancer. (Read more here: http://www.sarugby.com/news/News/article/sid=12930.html )
Ruben’s death raises questions with some people. He was an outspoken Christian, and after being diagnosed with cancer about 10 years ago, he visited a prophet with healing powers. Ruben and his family firmly believed that he had been healed. The question now is, did God not answer his prayers? Was he healed indeed or not? I believe that he wás healed. 10 years is a long to live, if the prognosis at the outset was a year.

  1. "Cancer is a merciful way of dying," a docter once said, "because it gives the patient time to attend to unfinished business". When first hearing it, I thought: "What cruel words!" , but through the years I came to see the truth in them......
