My identity – who am I? (continued)
Let us look at the first identity crisis in the Bible: the Fall. Adam and Eve believed the satan’s half truths, that they would not die, that their eyes would be opened and they would be like God. They fell for the temptations because they were seeking to be autonomous and it would make them independent of God. They succumbed and became disobedient to God. They lost their likeness to God, spiritually, physically and also their Godly character. But thank God: Jesus came to restore God’s character in us. With His death on the cross He paid the full price and His resurrection is proof that we were made right in God’s eyes by the obedience of Jesus.
